Hey! Jen here! Thank you for taking the time to look around our site! I am one of the owners here at Something Borrowed And More. (That's me on the right!) We are a small, family-owned, florist and decor rental company that services most of southeastern Wisconsin.
The company itself has a long history in the Hubertus, Richfield, Colgate area, going back almost 50 years. Passing from friend to friend, generation to generation, it has always been family-owned AND woman-owned. I took over the business along with my mom, Deb, (middle) in February 2014. As I learned the ropes in design from my experienced and super awesome florists, Deb set to work bringing the shop into the 21st century, making everything so much more efficient! My aunt, Sandy, (left) came on shortly after to take over the communication aspect as we continued to grow.
In the spring of 2022, we made the decision to change our business model to focus solely on weddings and special events. I felt that during my growth as a florist, designing pieces for weddings was really what I enjoyed doing the most. As such, we opted not to renew the lease on our retail location and have now moved to a home studio -style setup. With our concentration dedicated to this purpose, we are able to offer a more personalized approach in our services to both current and future customers. Now, with almost a decade of personal experience in the floral and wedding industry, we've learned most of the in's and out's as well as some tips and tricks that can help you smoothly plan your wedding or special event.
Our one-on-one decor rental and floral consultations are always free, with no obligation to book. I personally walk you through the whole process from picking your designs, customizing your pieces to your style, and carrying your theme through to your decor. Consultations can take anywhere from one to three hours, depending how big your event is and how in-depth you'd like to go! I'd encourage you to book your consult around 5-6 months in advance, preferably no less than 2 months in advance. I’m definitely not a sales person, so my only goal is to help you create your vision, not pressure you into something you don’t want.
